The KPF’s New York office, staffed with 300 architects, is working on far flung projects, many of which are in Asia. While visiting KPF office on West 42nd Street that overlooks Bryant Park, we had the opportunity to check out models and photos from the firm’s massive Songdo project in South Korea and learned that the firm’s Lotte Super Tower in Seoul will be second in height only to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The three-floor office in midtown Manhattan opens onto the green space of Bryant Park and the iconic New York Public Library. The 6th floor contains the offices and studio, while the 8th floor houses model‐building and support spaces, and finally the 18th floor is designated as the large studio and additional support space. Transparency and accessibility has been given particular attention as shown by the absence of doors and room divider that is replaced by the minimal see-through divider.
